All residential construction goes through a period of settlement, and as the seasons change, periods of expansion or contraction will occur. As a result, your new home will experience minor changes and problems that are unavoidable. You may also discover minor imperfections that weren’t obvious at first, like squeaky doors, sticky cabinet drawers, or cosmetic issues. And it’s always a possibility that something turns out to be defective: a faulty appliance, a leaky window, or a malfunctioning electrical component.
Within one (1) year from the date of closing, Homes By Brill will repair or replace (at our discretion) any material defects in workmanship or materials – at no cost to you.
This means that if something doesn’t work the way it should, or stops working, we’ll fix it or replace it.
Every homebuyer is responsible for proper home maintenance, and our limited warranty excludes damage caused by a buyer’s negligence, improper maintenance, or changes, alterations, or additions.
Many appliances, fixtures, and other components of your home also have manufacturer’s warranties. For instance, your windows, plumbing, appliances, and heating/cooling (HVAC) or other mechanical/electrical systems may have warranties from their respective manufacturers. We’ll pass along all warranty information to you in your move-in packet.
